Our admissions consultants are graduates of Ivy League and Russell Group universities who have taken Hong Kong students through UCAS and Common App applications, boarding school entry at 11+ and 13+, and the testing that goes with both.
What the consulting covers
- Profile review and school list. Reach, target and likely, built against the student's real profile.
- Timeline. A written plan working backwards from deadlines, including when each test is sat and how many attempts are realistic.
- Essays. Personal statement for UCAS, Common App essay and supplements for the US — coached through multiple drafts, written by the student.
- Testing. SAT, AP, SSAT and the UK subject admissions tests. See SAT and AP tutoring.
- Interviews. Oxbridge, medicine, and boarding school interviews, with mock practice.
- Decisions. Offer comparison, and reapplication or clearing where needed.
Why the school list comes first
Families often arrive with a list drawn from rankings. Rankings measure research output and reputation, not fit or admissions probability, and a list of eight reaches is a plan to be rejected eight times.
We start by establishing what the student's grades, subjects and interests actually support, then build a list with genuine range. That conversation is sometimes uncomfortable and it is the most valuable part of the process.

Do you guarantee admission?
No, and no honest consultant does. Admissions decisions at selective universities are not fully predictable from any applicant profile. What we can do is make sure the application presents the student accurately, meets every requirement, and targets a sensible range of schools.
When should we start?
Year 11 or early Year 12 for UK applications; Year 10 for US applications, where testing and activities need a longer runway. For boarding school entry, around Year 5 for 11+ and 13+.
