Fluency first, then technique, then papers. How the maths tutorials are structured.

The three-layer approach
Layer 1 — fluency
Manipulation that has to be automatic: expanding, factorising, rearranging, indices, surds, fractions. If any of this requires conscious thought, everything built on it will fail under time pressure. We drill it in short, high-frequency bursts rather than in long sessions.
Layer 2 — technique
Recognising question types, choosing a method quickly, laying out working so method marks survive an arithmetic slip, and using the GDC efficiently in calculator papers.
Layer 3 — papers
Full past papers under timed conditions, marked to the real mark scheme, reviewed question by question. Students see where marks were available and what a mark scheme actually rewards.

- IB — Analysis and Approaches SL/HL, Applications and Interpretation SL/HL, including Paper 3 at HL and the Exploration.
- IGCSE — Core and Extended, Cambridge and Edexcel.
- IB MYP — criterion-based support with Diploma foundations.
- A-Level — Maths and Further Maths, pure, mechanics and statistics.
The Exploration and summer bridging
The IB Exploration is worth 20% and is where students most often lose marks unnecessarily, usually through a topic with no mathematical depth. We coach topic choice and the reflection criteria.
Our summer bridging block between IGCSE and Year 12 rebuilds algebraic fluency before the Diploma or A-Level assumes it. For students taking AA HL, we recommend it strongly.

Frequently asked questions
My child is good at maths but slow. Is that a problem?
It is the problem. Exams are speed tests as much as knowledge tests, and slowness almost always traces back to non-automatic basics rather than to weak understanding. It responds well to short, frequent fluency drilling.
Do you cover Further Maths?
Yes, for A-Level students applying to mathematics, engineering and economics courses, along with the university admissions tests several of those courses set.
